I use them for skiing in cold weather and the heat works well. Medium-level does it for me. The socks are comfortable. I gave four stars because 1) the remote never worked, but its easy enough to use it manually, and 2) the stitching on the battery pack pocket started to become undone after a few uses. Simple to fix myself, but it should last longer.

I bought these socks 2 years ago for biking outdoors in the winter. You know because riding on a trainer or a stationary bike sucks!!
I don’t need much to keep my feet warm so I use these on low when I ride. I normally have relatively warm feet without any assistance from an alternate heat source! But my clipless shoes are mostly mesh, so on days below 40° they get a little chilly.
The remote is nice, if on any chance I need to change the heat setting warmer or off if I don’t need them. So far so good!

These socks are amazing for skiing. I got a pair for me and my fiancé and we both were blown away with how well they worked. They are a little thicker but not much thicker than a normal ski sock. Battery lasts all day on the slopes. I’ve only had them on low and that’s just enough to keep feeling in my toes on cold days. Went out with these the first time when it was -20F wind chill and I was able to ski the entire day and not even think about cold toes. Wire is super well placed to go up right behind your ankle bone so no pinch points. Heats just on top of the toes so right where you need it most and you’re not standing on any wires. Highly recommend

I’m going on my third winter with these socks and I like them, the keep my feet mostly worm. The heat they provide is on the tops of the feet, over part of the toe area and this is where they keep my feet warm. I can feel how they work because the rest of my foot can feel the cold but my feet have been warm. I use them while fishing on a boat and not moving around much so my feet get cold. Overall, they work much better than regular wool socks.

These socks appear to be high quality but run a little tight. I’m a solid 12 1/2 and the XXL is very snug. I ran them on low yesterday and the batteries lasted well over 7 hours. They don’t give off much heat on low, but I’m sure it will help when the extreme cold gets here. I charged the batteries overnight and even after 15 hours of charging the battery packs are still showing a red indicator just like they did when I first plugged them in. I don’t know if they’re malfunctioning or built like that, but I prefer the indicators turn green (or off) when they’re finished charging. I guess we’ll see……

These socks come with a pair of nice flat batteries that heat up beautifully. I have Raynauds Syndrome and need to be careful especially in the winter outside. I have a friend who has these socks and recommended them to me. She was right, they are as warm as they can be! I wear them inside slippers in the house and am very happy. Thank you Action Heat for my warm feet! I am going to recommend them to all my friends in the bridge club!

I was able to wear these socks around the house, and they performed great. I will be trying them out on my fishing trip.

I own an older pair of the socks and love them, wear them for deer hunting in WI. I just bought 2 more pair for my sons. Product is excellent, delivery not so much. Fedx/USPS was extremely slow, missing their delivery dates several times, making it late for Christmas.

I have tried a few pairs. These work well. I have issues with my toes and frostbite which returns if I don’t keep them warm. I wear these for 20 to 30 minutes at a time. They work fine. I did have them on for longer one day (45 to 60 minutes) and the power button went out …I had to hit the button again to restart. I have been using these for about a month.

These are good. Fit well, get warm, and the remote makes it easy to adjust the temp on the go. I do wish there was heating on the bottom of the foot. I also think there should be a less expensive option where you can buy just the socks without the batteries. I would only need one set of batteries for multiple pairs of socks.

I’ve used them once so far (sitting for two hours in 16 deg. temps) and they have done a good job. I am looking forward to using them during late winter/early spring fly fishing trips. Only thing I would suggest is to widen the area of the heating element. I found my little toe still got cold because the element did not extend far enough to the outside of my foot. Other than that they are pretty solid.
