The engineering of the heel construction is cheap and makes absolutely no sense. The only thing connecting the heel to the upper part of the boot is the cheap piece of black vinyl that you see on the outside back of the heel. I wore these boots 5 times and the piece of vinyl ripped and completely disconnected from the upper portion of the boot. This was an extreme inconvenience to me, since I was 2 1/2 miles from my truck when this happened.

I have had this boot for three hunting seasons, last year I noticed dampness at the heel several times after coming in from hunting, this year I found out the reason….the plastic heel piece on the back of both boots had cracked, broken completely out, and only held on with glue, I expected more from a hundred dollar boot…went back to my 25 year old Beans Boots that still don’t leak (just need to wear good socks to keep feet warm)…learned my lesson about Chinese boots.

If you ever wore the old Rockies I’m not sure you’ll like what direction this company has gone. My previous pair, the soles fell off after minimal use. The uppers looked new. I said I’d never buy another pair, but they offered me a nice discount since mine were past warranty. I don’t like bad mouthing a company but they’ve changed the quality of the products I’ve purchased. I’m probably going to buy a arch support insert so these feel a bit more stable on my feet. They don’t conform to your foot very well. They look nice though!

This is my second pair of this boot. Most importantly, they are warm, and waterproof. I wore the first pair hard for over 5 years of outdoor work, cutting firewood, and a ton of hiking and even as that pair was wearing out, I knew I needed to replace them with the same exact boot. I got these two weeks ago, and they are perfect!

I purchased these about 3 weeks ago and I do not particularly like the eyelets. I have to pretty much unlace them all the way down before I can even get them on or off. I have only worn them twice to try and get used to them. Both times I had lacing issues, you have to lace them up every time because of the eyelets are not like fixed eyelets they have a little groove in them that lets the boot string slide out all the way until about halfway down. They are not very comfortable to me. I have owned many pairs of Rocky Boots with great comfort and durability but this pair being the worst, wished I’d spent my money on something different than these. Lesson learned

I bought the rocky outdoor boots because they said they were insulated and good for 20 below weather. Went to a outdoor football game, the weather was 16 above and my toes got cold and I was wearing wool socks. Had to put feet warmers in my boots for warmth. Disappointed in the sk called insulation claim.

My husband bought his first pair of these boots a few years ago. He absolutely loved them from the first time he wore them. He is a construction worker and is very hard on his shoes. These became his favorite boots immediately. They are comfortable, durable and waterproof. It came time for another pair but he couldn’t find them at the store and is not interested in any others. He is thrilled to have a new pair of his favorite boots

These aren’t the worst boots I’ve ever owned, for sure. They do keep my feet warm in 15 below all day long. But once the snow starts melting on the boot and your socks become wet, in dead winter, then you really start to rethink things. overall decent, comfortable boots with good high ankle support.

They fit well and are warm as advertised. Like the eyelets vs nylon eyes as they should hold up better. Wish that the warmer style came in wide widths because I think I could have used them in the cold weather but happy with these. Would have given a 5 star but not completely made in the USA so I can’t.

had a pair of Rocky’s a few years back,I work in the construction trades, I also hunt and fish. The Rocky boot is 100% waterproof, they are lightweight and warm I tried a few different brands trying to save money but have came back to Rocky and will always have a pair in my closet. Outstanding boots!

I have had these boots for several years although used them quite lightly considering I live in the PNW and we don’t get much serious snow in the lowlands. I purchased them mostly for my winter trips to AK to enjoy the Iditarod and for backcountry outings on snowmachines with my son. They started out quite stiff and got slightly better, but I wouldn’t recommend them for hiking around much. Perhaps I didn’t wear them enough because I have other boots that just got more comfortable over time. During my last trip to AK the boots just completely failed as you can see from the photos. The temps were near zero, but I would expect a winter boot to hold up in the winter. The plastic material used for the lower construction turned brittle and crumbled to pieces essentially leaving the boot with the upper section separate from the lower part of the boot.

I had my first pair 6 weeks when the seam over the heel feel apart, they were replaced as per the warranty and within 2 weeks that pair came apart in the same place. Not sure I would buy Rocky again, quality was very poor.

Where to begin.. The website does not accept gift cards (bank) , Shipping was a disaster taking over a month, and all the updates were wrong, or dead links… Than THANKFULLY my long awaited replacement for the best boots I’ve ever owned showed up YAY!!!! oh wait I messed up and ordered THE SAME SIZE AS I HAD and …. THESE ARE THE WIDEST BOOTS I HAVE EVER SEEN… now Return shipping was easy… but come on Rocky… I loved my last pair for 12 years… and my how the quality has plummeted such a shame… I’ll try to find a pair at a local retailer (if I am lucky)… but I feel I will have to move on as the quality control is NON EXISTANT…. Don’t order direct from the company… you will most likely regret the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE… I’d only recommend them if I don’t like you
