I have had these boots for several years although used them quite lightly considering I live in the PNW and we don’t get much serious snow in the lowlands. I purchased them mostly for my winter trips to AK to enjoy the Iditarod and for backcountry outings on snowmachines with my son. They started out quite stiff and got slightly better, but I wouldn’t recommend them for hiking around much. Perhaps I didn’t wear them enough because I have other boots that just got more comfortable over time. During my last trip to AK the boots just completely failed as you can see from the photos. The temps were near zero, but I would expect a winter boot to hold up in the winter. The plastic material used for the lower construction turned brittle and crumbled to pieces essentially leaving the boot with the upper section separate from the lower part of the boot.

These aren’t the worst boots I’ve ever owned, for sure. They do keep my feet warm in 15 below all day long. But once the snow starts melting on the boot and your socks become wet, in dead winter, then you really start to rethink things. overall decent, comfortable boots with good high ankle support.

Where to begin.. The website does not accept gift cards (bank) , Shipping was a disaster taking over a month, and all the updates were wrong, or dead links… Than THANKFULLY my long awaited replacement for the best boots I’ve ever owned showed up YAY!!!! oh wait I messed up and ordered THE SAME SIZE AS I HAD and …. THESE ARE THE WIDEST BOOTS I HAVE EVER SEEN… now Return shipping was easy… but come on Rocky… I loved my last pair for 12 years… and my how the quality has plummeted such a shame… I’ll try to find a pair at a local retailer (if I am lucky)… but I feel I will have to move on as the quality control is NON EXISTANT…. Don’t order direct from the company… you will most likely regret the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE… I’d only recommend them if I don’t like you

I had my first pair 6 weeks when the seam over the heel feel apart, they were replaced as per the warranty and within 2 weeks that pair came apart in the same place. Not sure I would buy Rocky again, quality was very poor.

If you ever wore the old Rockies I’m not sure you’ll like what direction this company has gone. My previous pair, the soles fell off after minimal use. The uppers looked new. I said I’d never buy another pair, but they offered me a nice discount since mine were past warranty. I don’t like bad mouthing a company but they’ve changed the quality of the products I’ve purchased. I’m probably going to buy a arch support insert so these feel a bit more stable on my feet. They don’t conform to your foot very well. They look nice though!

I have had this boot for three hunting seasons, last year I noticed dampness at the heel several times after coming in from hunting, this year I found out the reason….the plastic heel piece on the back of both boots had cracked, broken completely out, and only held on with glue, I expected more from a hundred dollar boot…went back to my 25 year old Beans Boots that still don’t leak (just need to wear good socks to keep feet warm)…learned my lesson about Chinese boots.
