Awesome hat! Visibility is excellent and fabric magically repels dirt so the hat keeps its clean, sharp appearance without the need for washing.The evaporation-cooling liner/headband is a little stiff at first, but running the hat under cools water both loosens it up and makes the hat even cooler!My only complaint would be that the hat runs a little small for my head, but over the last year of use its actually stretched out to fit even my larger head quite nicely. 🙂

I’m not a cowboy and I do not like the way ball caps look on me, I have had several ranger hats over the years and I thought the Ergodyne chill-its 8935ct ranger hat would be a no brainier. When you first try the hat on the PVA material is very uncomfortable before it gets wet once it does it feels so much better. I don’t think it will go for 4 hours, count on 2 and have some cold water near and you will be okay. My head measures 25 inches with an O.D tape and the large/extra-large is small for my head I think I am slowly stretching it, I had a headache the first day I put it on. The parks mowing crew all have them; two of the smaller kid’s heads do not fit in the small/medium. These are great hats and they do keep you cool but the one size fits two does not work for everyone. The price on these is a great buy but I would happily pay more for a hat that fit a little better.Update on the Chill-its 8935CT Ergo man sent me a new ranger hat and it’s a home run. The best part is when you re-wet the PVA material and get back to work you look like your sweeting bullets, when in fact your cool as a cucumber.

My husband loves this hat. Protects from the brutal southern sun and it really does keep cool for a few hours when cold water right out of frig poured on.

Bought several of these for my HVAC technicians and electritians here in Florida. Heat and humididty here is high. These work wonders for the guys. They do not last 4 hours here, about 2 and you have to rinse and re-wet. But we all love these hats, and the cooling towels.

Good safety colors. Large brim & sunblock material effective, but unsure about mesh sides to block sun. Interior is stiff & uncomfortable; seems more like a small than small/medium described.

The hat is a good quality. It blocks the bright sun and is easy to use on the hot summer days. The fit was a little big on my head. The headband inside at first was hard and it took me while to get use to it, but as it absorb sweat, it soften it up. It’s great absorbing sweat and the ventilation is great, air still breatha thru and keepa the head cool.

Ordered one each for myself and my son, and we were the envy of everyone at summer day camp. We’ve had ours for three seasons now and use them almost daily. The material is sturdy, yet light weight and very durable. It is stain resistant. It rolls up for packing (just add water to reshape before wearing).
