Elastic fits snugly, but not so tight that it is uncomfortable. After a good soaking, the evaporative qualities work well, and can really be appreciated with the slightest breeze. Be aware, your kids might tell you that you look like a pirate, but if that’s the cost of keeping cool, so be it.

This thing is pretty sweet for keeping your bald head from getting burned on those hot sunny days. I also like to use it under my hardhat, to keep my stubble from rubbing on the sweat band. Most places I go require 360 degrees of hi-vis wear, so this fits the bill! I have a short head, and it fit me okay. I usually have trouble with hats coming down too far, but this came right down to the top of my ears. Nice fit.
