Purchased these boots about 1 year ago and they were a little tight over the instep as stated but after using a shoe horn for a while they softened up and can now be put on with out the shoe horn.
I have over 50 years experience with purchasing boots for landscape and construction and I can honestly say they are the best I have ever bought. Way better than RedWing. Like wearing slippers but with great support.
Currently in use doing flood relief in Beaumont Texas and are holding up great to the humid conditions.
Don’t buy any other boots!!!!!

These are my slippers. I work for a western retail store and I have to wear my western boots every day. But when I am at home these were my go to’s (I have switched from the GS 262 to this boot). Very comfortable and affordable. The leather holds up well under all moderate conditions. Oil the leather to keep the uppers healthy.
My only gripe is they get a bit slippery. They are not a slip resistant boot so be careful on polished concrete and wet asphalt. I switched from the GS262 because the sole would wear down within a year. These on the other hand I have had for nearly 3 years and I am still wearing them.
Also the only break in they need is the elastic around the ankle. If you have a wide foot it will be difficult to get your foot into this boot but once the elastic breaks in (a few days) they are a great boot.

These Georgia boots live up to the hype! They are very comfortable, well built and are slip on. The EVA liner inside the boot is well padded and allows you to be on your feet all day without discomfort. They are extremely well built with a metal shank in the midsole/outsole combination for arch/heel of support that lasts and does fall flat. The leather is tough to scuff and moves with the foot. It is stitched in solidly with the rubber guard around the shoe and the side of the boot. An additional benefit is there are very few seems in the leather upper part of the shoe. The less seams there are the less chance water/snow will get inside the boot. The slip on style makes it really easy to wear taking the boot on/off. I love this feature, no more laces! At first it is a little difficult to put on/off the boots but they break in easily in a couple of days. And most importantly my heel doesn’t slip in the back. My foot moves with the shoes so there is no rubbing or blistering. The sizing of the boot is about a 1/2 size big, but most people wear their shoes too small. So picking the size you usually wear should fit nicely. Once the boots are on my feet they do not feel heavy despite clocking in at or around 1.5 lbs to 2.0 lbs. Overall I am very pleased with the Georgia Boots. They are quality boots with a price that won’t break the bank, especially for boots of this quality.

Ordered this boot about a month ago, when it arrived I put both boots on and thought they were comfortable. The right boot seemed to fit different but I didn’t think anything of it. I wore them to work for about a week and the we’re fine (I walk 10+ miles a day) and then a couple days later the right boot started killing the top of my foot to the point it got bruised. So I set them aside for alittle till my foot got better and tried again. same thing. After doing that several times I gave up and now I’m out $100+ on boots I can’t wear. I’m not saying it’s a bad product but I think the right boot was defective.

My employer purchased these for me. I wasn’t a big fan of the wedge sole at first, but after wearing them for a few days, I came to appreciate it while working on roadways. They are now added to my rotation of Romeos (4 pairs to date) so they don’t wear out too quickly.

20 plus years I am done with this boot… sucks the quality I was loyal to is gone.

I live and work in the woods in the Pacific Northwest, USA. I’ve owned several pairs of the Georgia Boot Romeo work shoes over the years and I swear by them. When I’m out in the brush to do some serious all day, high balling work I wear a high top, lace up ten inch work boot but when I’m just wandering around in the woods fishing, walking out to check some work sites, gold panning, ‘shrooming, shooting or just enjoying the forests I wear my Romeos. They’re comfortable, break in fast, are very durable and they’re the top of the line as far as work shoes go. I won’t own any other brand. Why change it up? I’m happy with what I have.

This was my second pair. The first pair lasted several years and wore evenly. Now my second pair about 6 months old has a hole about 3/4″ in the heel area of the insole. What has happened to manufacturing? Insoles should be made of better materials.
