Bought with the matching Kobalt tool belt, but the Velcro straps to hold the belt loops come apart when the belt is loaded. The right side strap slides off MUCH to easily when putting the tool belt on and off. Poor and cheap design. It works when you finagle it on and re-tighten the straps.
If I was an actual construction worker, there is no way this will hold up more than 3-4 weeks of hard use. I bought it to use building a large shed. I wish I went somewhere else to choose this.

Worse crap ever produced by kobalt, who came up with the velcro design? It would’ve been a great product if it wasn’t done with velcro.

My wife tried out these suspenders and loved them so much that I have to go buy me another set.

The Velcro does not stick good enough to hold the tool belt

The new suspend you you selling are not good at all the old ones I forget the name but the lowe’s brand I am very cheap and do not hold up at all

Velcro is great, but not in this case. As others have stated when you put tools in your toolbelt the Velcro pulls apart. I am going to keep the suspenders though as I will just modify it with snaps or something…

Looks heavy duty but is more like the cheaper versions then it looks.

They kept coming undone from the Velcro hold the belt up. Only had a week on them.

These suspenders literally cant hold any weight, the straps are designed in a way where they come undone once you put any weight into your toolbelt. Going to return ASAP

As an Army vet, I know the benefits of having load bearing equipment. This, attached to your tool belt is so awesome.

Absolute garbage . Besides me buying these , the dumbest thing is the velcro . Id rather pull my belt up all day then try to attach the velcro all day . I do not recommend these at all .

Straps and pads feel good, wish they attached to bags better

If I could give this a zero star review, I would. The velcro system on this makes no sense what so ever. You can not put any weight on your tool belt, or the velcro will start to come undone. I attached the drill holster to my belt to hold my impact drill and these shoulder straps can’t even support the weight!! Another negative is that they are huge. I’m a skinny guy weighing in around 150 and they are too big. I definitely would stay away from this product. Hopefully, they will come out with something better. Until then, look elsewhere for suspenders.

Bought these suspenders brand new to support my Kobalt belt & accessories…the Velcro loops that attach to the belt IMMEDIATELY started to peel away. There needs to be a more positive connection to the belt. Don’t buy these suspenders–you’ll be returning them to the store the next day!

The velcro does not stay together, so the tool bags/belt still fall off. Terrible design.

works as described.

I used a tool belt for long but it started hurting my hips and sagging my pants. This product fixes that. I find it easy to put on and pull off.

The velcro that wraps around your tool belt doesn’t hold at all. When you put a realistic amount of weight in your bags the velcro pulls loose. If I was only putting feathers in my tool bag I wouldn’t need the suspenders. The velcro is a terrible design flaw. I bought it thinking it was a closed loop that you would feed your belt through but the way everything was zip tied together you couldn’t tell. The moment i saw the velcro was going to hold it around my belt I knew it was going to fail. Boy was I right. I load alot of stuff in my pouches as a carpenter. Atleast a few pounds of screw or nails. 20oz framing hammer. Linemans pliers. Tin snips. Utility knife. Jab Saw. And then screw gun or impact. Which is why I need suspenders since it’s too much weight on the hips. And so I grabbed these padded ones since its so much weight.
Kobalts non-padded suspenders have alligator clips that grab your belt. But the clips are a little flimsy. They hold up ok but my last pair like them failed after a couple years. And there is no padding so they hurt after a while. So I reached for these instead. Big mistake. I will return right away and get the alligator clip ones instead. Just too bad they aren’t padded.

There is velcro for heavy duty use but Kobalt went with Velcro that wouldn’t hold a bow in a small dogs hair. This is one of those items like many others that I’m sure never get field tested and user feedback before gaining a place on the shelf. Love Kobalt but this is a big whiff.
