I am on my third pair of these boots. I wear them daily for duty use. My first pair lasted 2+ years before the tread word down and I purchased a new pair. The new pair lasted about 3 months before the rubber sole started to detach from the bottom of the boot on the sides. I contacted the business where I bought the boots online, and they sent me a new pair and credited me for those. However, 6 months into this pair, the same thing is happening. I don’t know if it is a fluke or common. But, I am not inclined to buy a replacement pair every 6 months. I absolutely love this boot otherwise. I am so disappointed to have to move on to something else. I have a wide, flat foot, and I pronate. This insole is so comfortable and has great arch support. It’s the only boot I have owned in 13 years of service that I can stand for 8+ hours and not have my feet hurt. I am terribly disappointed about the sole issue…

I am about to order my second pair of these. My first pair has surived two years of working in the motorcycle industry, and many miles of walking/hiking (and one low speed motorcycle wreck). The bike crash gouged the top of one boot, making it a little too rough for work appearance. Otherwise they still function well. Other brands (more expensive brands!) wear out on me in 3-6 months. Rocky boots are more comfortable, and durable and cost less!!! Rocky is just outstanding. These particular boots are more comfortable than any sneakers I can find. I am currently working in car sales in Phoenix AZ where temps easily reach 110 during summer months. I would rather wear these boots, and long pants (would look funny with shorts) than sneakers and shorts, because they are so darn comfortable!!! I have owned several different styles of Rocky footwear and have NOTHING but PRAISE for this brand.

Best purchase for comfortable boots. Money well spent! Need boots quick since my duty boots were ripping. Came fast and before the estimated time. Thank you for the awesome boots. Will definitely be buying them more.

I wore these boots in the military and always compared them to wearing comfortable sneakers. I purchased these now for my career in law enforcement. These boots are as comfortable as I remember 2 years ago! They are EXTREMELY light weight and feel as though you’re walking on a cloud. I particularly like that the ankle support is not real stiff, which makes walking and running much easier. If you have a tendency to roll your ankle or need more ankle support, I would suggest a different boot. If not, these are worth every penny!

I’ve been buying Rocky boots for at least 12 years, i put them on and they feel and fit great. very well made . these C4T is the litest boot i’ve ever worn . i love them!

Bought these boots a couple of weeks ago, so far they are great.
Im still in the break in stage, but even still they are comfortable. The fabric around the top of the ankle seems very thin and feels like it could rip or separate from the seems or stitching. The leather is very ply and soft out of the box. The laces are really thick and take a while to lace up.
Anyways, i am very happy so far. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the hassle it took to get the boots.(the website shipping info was very poor)

I wear these boots a few times a week and they are so light weight and comfortable. They’re lace up and stay tied tight all day with no loosening of the laces. I would definitely recommend these! They do however… set off a metal detector which is why I am unable to wear them on a daily basis or else I would. Since they are men’s boots… I ordered 2 sizes down and they fit perfect.

While serving in the Military, I never heard of any issues if the boot coming apart. Since I have bought these I have been keeping a close eye on the area between the fourth and fifth eyelid of the boot. They have started to feay apart on a pair a buddy of mine had purchased. Hopefully mine will stay together. Overall the boot is fantastic, and feels like a tennis shoe. Hopefully this will help on future purchases.

My husband loves these. Have been looking for these in Desert Sand for a long time and haven’t been able to find so thought he would try them in black. Same comfortable fit that he loves. Still looking for them in Desert Sand if y’all get any in.

I bought these boots about a month ago. They were delivered extremely fast. I was surprised when they came because I did not get a shipping notification and the tracking info did not update. The boots are sub par this go around. There seems to be an abundance of fabric on the boot, as compared to the last pair I bought. Same model and size. The left boot is also shaped differently than the right making it fit uncomfortably and not look uniform. I have 5 pairs of rocky and this is the first pair that I’m unhappy with.

I am a full time patrol officer with three years of street experience, and I work for a large/busy urban agency in the Midwest. I first discovered Rocky in the military, and I bought my first pair of C4Ts about four years ago as a lightweight replacement for my trusty S2Vs. In my humble opinion, the C4T is the best all-around patrol boot on the market today. It is very lightweight and incredibly comfortable. These boots have seen me through dozens of fights and foot chases. It is reasonably warm and water-resistant in cold conditions and I wear it basically year-round except for heavy snow/ice days. With heavy full-time street use and proper maintenance you can expect to get 12-18 months of service life out of these boots, which is more than acceptable for the price point in my opinion.
I only have two very minor gripes. The first is that they are very hard to shine and that they do not hold their shine well. I use Parade Gloss shine once every four shifts, and by the fourth shift the boots are almost completely matte in appearance. Luckily my agency isn’t big on boot shining, so not a big deal. The second gripe is that the leather on the toe tends to abrade/scratch very easily, especially if you get into a fight that ends up on the ground on pavement. Nothing that some heavy shine can’t “fix”, so again not a big deal. My only suggestion to Rocky would be toughening the leather in the toe box area if and when you make a black C4R variant.

This is my second pair of C4T’s and I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy these boots. I’m on my feet for 8+ hours a day standing/walking on concrete or hard surfaces and I go all day without any complaints from my knees or feet. They are super lightweight and agile, have a compact footprint, and last a very long time. My previous pair lasted me almost two years! The break in time is pretty short and only took my one full day of work to fully form and flex. And while I was breaking them in they still provided comfort without any blisters or excessive stiffness. I honestly would prefer to go running in these over my cross trainers. The only thing I noticed is that when it comes to water, they aren’t impermeable (because of the nylon ankle and tongue) but still very reasonable considering the many other advantages of this boot. This boot would not likely be suitable for harsh work environments, but if you’re in need of a light-duty comfortable boot, look no further.

These boots are absolute garbage. Yeah, light and comfortable but last less than a year. I’ve tried two pairs and both started to fail in just a few months with total failure at around 12-14 months. Not acceptable to need to buy new boots yearly or possibly more often.

I bought these over a month ago, and I am currently using them in a correctional environment. They’re super light and super comfy. I had the tan ones before, during my time in the Army (were out of regs), and loved them then. So I bought these again and they haven’t let me down. Only difference now is that they run bigger now (I still have my old ones in size 9.5), so I had to buy a second pair because the 9.5 were too big, so I bought the size 9 and they fit perfect now.

I had these in the tan boots while I was in the Army and loved them so I tried the Duty ones. I have worn these boots for about a week up to 16 hours a day! I had to removed the soles due to the thickness since my feet were to compressed (I did like the soles, they were comfy). Replaced them with a pair of dr scholls and they worked fine. The only issues I had were at the heel where the two different materials meet (found a product (sort of like mole skin) that I placed on the inside to give it a cover in that section and at the top of the foot where the strings start at, presses against my foot at times causing a little bit of discomfort (this is usually an issue the longer I wear them).

Bought these about 3 years ago and they are super comfortable still, very attractive, light weight, quiet walking, good grip although not slip resistant, i wear them laced to the top but never tied and they fit like a glove easy on and off action, I’m one of those weirdos that look for shtf gear and these are my go to footwear no question, threw some dr scholls inserts to make em more comfortable and snug so i don’t need to tie them, i even raced my highschool(now college) sprinting cousin in these and beat him(i was a 10.6 guy but he was wearing aasics and we raced in the middle of the street) if these were composite toe with relatively the same light weight and same toe comfort with non slip these would be the ultimate boots, still a great buy. Literally wore them with some black cargo jogger style stretch jeans and a black T-shirt and was getting compliments on my fit(I’m a 27 year old black dude not sure if that matters but i need my gear to look as good as i do hahaha) honestly just came back on this website to see if they had em with the non slip and composite toe so i could wear them every day at my warehouse job. I couldn’t give a better recommendation this is a grown man boot not built for lil boys. I don’t ever even do this review stuff but i had to put some respect on these

I have went through three pairs of these boots within a year. The boot is extremely comfortable and when running after people (police) the feel as if im wearing a tennis shoe. The durability of the boot is extremely lacking. each pair of boots i have went through the sole on the side of the boot comes loose and the toe of the boot comes loose from the sole.

They were a pain to break in but once they are broken in they are extremely comfortable. My only issue is that after 2 weeks of having the boots the fabric on the inside of the boot already ripped

I have to stand for 7 hours a day and needed a pair of light cool boots. These boots weigh as much as running shoes and are great for summer. They breath easily which keeps my feet nice and cool. Usually Rocky boots take a few days to wear in but these felt great on day one. Definitely recommend these if heavier boots just aren’t comfortable for you.

The boots are fantastic. Very comfortable no break in period. The sizing is spot on. I also have a wide foot and there are no issues. Only problem: Put new laces in before you put them on the first time. Always coming untied.

I have never written a review before but I feel I should on this product. I bought these boots about 2 1/2 months ago. The break in period was horrible along with the inner heel cups are very uncomfortable. The boots are made for flat footed people. I have bought a lot cheaper boot that was easier to break in and more comfortable. Will NOT be purchasing another pair of rocky boots. Waste of money

I have worn a pair of these boots everyday, 10 hours a a day, for 15 months. They are just now getting to the point i have to replace them. The comfort and light weight are the best I have found (including tennis shoes). I plan on replacing them them with another pair.

I am the no proud owner of the C4T style men’s boots. These are not cold weather boots, air and cold rush right through, leaving u feeling rather uncomfortable. Please make the C4T with Gore-tex, and insulated for cold weather comfort. With full leather uppers. The C4T is very noisy, the sole is noisy, and the material uppers are so noisy that everyone can hear u coming. These boots could get u killed. They are that loud. There is no quiet walking. But I like the style of boot, just make it with Gore-tex, and insulated. I want to be a loyal customer. I want to be the first to get the new designed “Gore-tex C4T” model. Name them after me. Sincerely, Kirdell

I bought these boots in June (8 months ago at the time of writing this review) and I can say with confidence that these boots are very very good for their money. I’ve worn running shoes that weren’t as comfortable as these boots.
my one gripe is the laces that come with the boot, they’re absolutely atrocious. ditch them immediately, I’d recommend the s2v black laces for 5 dollars. the thick paracord laces come undone so frequently it’s infuriating.
there was virtually no break in period, for the first ~4 hours I did experience some mild discomfort at the back of my foot due to the heel cup conforming to my heel, this quickly faded although.
these boots are not water resistant, they will get wet if you step in a puddle, if it’s summer you can tough it out and in about 2 hours they’ll be bone dry. however, if it’s even slightly cold, forget about it.
the foam material on the bottom of the boot is very slick, but the rubber is not, these boots are not non-slip, if there is a puddle/oil on the floor, you’ll be head over teakettle before you can blink.
overall 9/10, only giving 4 stars because I had to spend an extra $5 on laces to replace the ones that came with the boot.
I’m just now writing this review as my new black S2V’s are on their way to my house, I’ve had to replace these boots as the stitching around the toe has blown out, this is at no fault of the boots as 8 months of wear and tear is about the service life of any and all footwear for me.

It is not rugged nor as comfortable as competitors. The heel cup is not the best for stability on uneven ground and takes a while to break in (longer then normal). The sole does not provide ANY traction when wet, muddy, or in snow. This is because there is no tread and it’s only this cheap foam opposed to an aggressive, polyurethane sole like in all other military boots.
This boot is designed for garrison use and maybe for a police officer that is in a vehicle most of the time. Not suitable for mountain, jungle, desert, or woodland environments. In other words it’s not good enough to be used in the field for combat-arms personnel.

Bought two pairs of these a few months ago, and I’m happy with them. They’re lightweight and comfortable. Quality of construction appears to be good, no problems a few months in. My normal foot pain is down to almost nothing thanks to these boots. They take a shine well enough, and getting through metal detectors at my job has been no issue. Wide size seems like maybe it should be an extra wide, but otherwise they’re true to size. Was hoping breathability would be a little better, but then again, my feet are pretty much always on the hot and sweaty side. Tread is lightweight, sneaker-type appropriate for indoors and paved surfaces, wouldn’t be so good for outdoors / rough terrain. I do get the “crinkly” sound around the ankles, but it probably won’t be a problem for you unless you’re a professional ninja. Overall, I’m very satisfied, and the free shipping helps. They’re also a very nice looking boot.
