If your job requires you to wear a dress boot for public service, you don’t want to settle for just any black dress boot. If you prefer the look and feel of genuine full-grain leather, and you want a men’s boot that’s comfortable, and can be polished, you’ve found your footwear. It’s the Rocky® Polishable Dress Leather Chukka. The upper is full-grain leather and takes a nice spit-shine. This is great because not only do you have quality materials, but you’re able to maintain a great appearance.Within the military dress boot or public service dress boot, a double-padded PU collar provides protection and comfort for your ankles.Goodyear® welt construction (along with a storm welt) give the chukka boot durability, shape and a solid platform that keeps you standing comfortably throughout hours of wear. For even more comfort, the PRO-CELL footbed has an extra-large integrated energy return heel plug. Yet, the feature that will set this men’s dress boot apart from the rest is the PRO-CELL mid and outsole system. Why? The system features a removable PU footbed. The footbed has an excellent compression-set. That means your leather dress public service boot remains intact and consistently returns to its original shape after multiple pressure applications. The insole has an EVA cushioned filler and midsole. The blown rubber outsole delivers cushioning, and is also oil-resistant. So not only will your dress public service boot be able to maintain its shape and continue to make your appearance look sharp, but your level of comfort doesn’t diminish as you stand. The blown outsole was made with the traditional 90-degree angle on the front of the heel. The black chukka boot is crafted on a classic, round toe “navy” last (so named because this look was first adopted by the U.S. Navy for sailor shoes that had to fit well and be comfortable). It also features a non-metallic stabilizer for support.

I’ve purchased this exact chuuka 3x in the past 15 yrs. Instead of improving it, it’s evolved poorly. Should no longer be advertised as a dress chuuka. Horribly disappointed!

These shoes “squeaked” as other reviews have stated. I put some polish on the tongue, loosened the laces a bit and it stopped the squeak. Shoes seem to well made but I’ve only had them for a month or so.

This is my second pair of Rocky Chukka boots I have purchased. They are very professional looking when wearing your uniform and hold a great shine. The only complaint I have with this particular boot is the sole wear quickly.

I have been in Law Enforcement since 1987 and have worn Rocky Boots since then and they have been some of the finest products I have had on my feet. I have worn several different styles depending on my assignment. I have had about five pairs of the leather chukka over the past ten years. I pay maticlous attention to my shoes keeping a spit shine on them complete with edge dressing and heal gaurds. It appears that somewhere along the way the sole was changed on the chukka and the current version makes a farting sound when I walk. I sent one pair back as this sound happened in the warranty period. The next pair I recieveed did the same thing after a year and could not be returned. In addition to the second pair doing the same thing the tongue on the right shoe was sewn in crooked which caused the tongue to sit to the right of the shoe causing the left side to stick up and get caught on my uniform pants, it was extremly frustrating! To Rocky’s credit they did give me a discount on the latest which is my third pair of shoes that are exibhiting the same problem. I attribute this problem to a change in the shoe due to the fact that I have an older pair of the same shoe that I keep as a back up and even though the shoe is just about worn out the shoe does not make a sound. as much as I love this product I think I may have purchased my last pair. I hope someone at Rocky reads this and address this problem.

I purchased these Rocky Chukkas for work. They are a good design, and the fit is right. the problem I had was that the leather upper was not good quality. After wearing them for 1 day, the top of the boot had creases and wrinkles all over them- deep ones that shouldn’t happen with good leather. I think they separated from the lining enough to not smooth back out. I hadn’t even applied any treatment to them, because they were so new. the only other issue I had was the non-leather inside lining of the lacing areas. These boots have no eyelets where the laces go through the material, so I understood that they needed something less stretchy than the leather upper alone to keep the holes from widening. However, the synthetic material rubbed the leather tongue every time I took a step, and made a loud squeaking noise which didn’t go away as I wore the shoes all day. If it wasn’t for the upper wrinkling, I would’ve probably kept the boots and worn them until the squeaking went away. Instead, I returned them. I have other Rocky boots, so I haven’t given up on the brand, but the selection of styles is very limited in my 6.5 men size, so it may be awhile before I but something again.

The boots look nice but the eyelets for the laces ripped on two pairs of the boots. I returned them and would not recommend…

Bought these for work, I’m a salesman, I needed something that would look good in the office & handle working in the market. These failed on every level. The break in process was very long & painful. The insoles are garbage, I tried replacing them but you can’t because of the big hole in the heel these “special” insoles are designed specifically for this boot. Just about the time I got them broke in the padded uppers separated from the rest of the shoe. I lost track of time & didn’t get them returned within the year warranty.

I have bought 6 pairs over the years. They are comfortable, reliable, not heavy, good shine when polished. I have had them
resold and asked for a little more of rugged sole and they lasted long. The soles wear out quick and shoes Laces break other then that I would recommend these shoes . I used them in the fire service. I hope someone reads this
because if they can correct those two issues. I would continue purchasing them, the price reasonable. I still have
two pair but the soles are creaking
I need to get new shoes and want to
purchase these shoes but they won’t last long.
Reasonable price saw

I purchased this boot about a month ago. Very happy that I did. The fit is perfect and it look great.

I’ve been buying these boots for over 15 years. I have 6 pairs that I alternate with as a uniform dress shoe. I have seen the quality of material used decline over the years. When I compare my recent pair with a pair from 10 years ago, I see light weight material is now used and soles that wear out faster.

This is my second pair of Rocky Chukkas. Comfortable and strong. I wear these in all kinds of weather and they are very reliable.

I worked for the P. O. And used these shoes every day. Not very comfortable at the toe and mid sole areas!
